FAT Running runs a small members' website so runners can register, record attendance at our runs, and see the leaderboard. This page explains exactly what we collect and why. We keep it to the minimum needed to run the club.
What we collect
- Your account: your name and email address (used to sign in).
- Your profile (optional): a profile photo, your pace group, and where you usually run, if you choose to add them.
- Attendance: which runs you check in to, the time, and whether an admin marked that you ran.
- Location, at check-in only: when a run is live and you tap "I'm here", your device sends its location once so we can confirm you're at the meetup. We use it to measure your distance from the run and then discard it. We do not store your coordinates or track your movements. If you would rather not share location at all, you can check in with the run code instead.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or share your data with advertisers.
- We do not use third-party analytics, ad, or tracking scripts.
- We do not track your location outside of a single check-in you initiate.
Who can see what
Other logged-in members can see your name, profile photo and pace group on the leaderboard and run lists. Attendance reports (who came, pace group, and whether they ran) are visible to club admins and ambassadors only.
Where your data lives
Accounts, profiles and attendance are stored securely with our database provider (Supabase). Profile photos are stored in a Supabase storage bucket. Fonts are served from our own site, so no data is sent to font providers as you browse.
Your choices
You can edit or clear your name, photo, pace group and home venue any time on your profile page. To delete your account and attendance history, message us on Instagram at @_fatrunning and we'll remove it.
